Tomaž Strmole finished his studies in civil engineering in 2001 at the University of Ljubljana. He started his career with the static calculation of building constructions at Elea iC and specialized in the structural design of concrete and steel constructions. He is a partner of Elea iC and deputy head of team Buildings and Structures.  He designs and has worked as a lead expert on several projects, including Hotel Sotelija (Podčetrtek,) Termalia Olimia (Podčetrtek), Wellness center Orhidelia (Podčetrtek), Cukrarny Gallery, Ljubljana Train Station, The Faculty of Pharmacy (Ljubljana),  and others.
