The second railway track between Divača and Koper comprises of 27.1 km of modern railway on a rigid basis. The entire alignment includes 37.4 km of tunnels (more than were built since Slovenia’s independence) with 17 portal areas, 13 energy facilities, numerous support structures, culverts and other accompanying facilities.
From start to finish the project was designed using state-of-the-art BIM technology. We produced 616 information models consisting of more than 433,000 information-enriched 3D elements. Using the digital information environment of BIM enabled the seamless coordination of a large project consortium and form the basis for more than 10,000 final drawings and most of the elements included in 160 inventories of works, which will be used during construction.
