Roadway resurfacing on the A1 Vransko–Trojane and Šentrupert–Vransko Highway

Roadway resurfacing was designed in the form of restructuring of the existing roadway construction in a height of 12 cm. A connection to the existing situation was designed in the form of transition ramps. For the investor, DARS d.d., we prepared project documentation for roadway resurfacing on the Šentilj–Srmin A1 motorway, section 0042 and 0642 Šentrupert–Vransko from km 5.750 to km 7.899 and section 0043 and 0643 Vransko–Trojane from km 0.000 to km 0.600. Based on measurements of longitudinal evenness, transversal evenness, skidding characteristics and visual assessment of the roadway, the situation of the roadway for sections 0042 and 0043 was identified as borderline and for sections 0642 and 0643 as poor. Renovation of the deceleration/acceleration line in both directions was foreseen for the Vransko access point. No changes were made in the drainage, since it is provided for by adequate longitudinal and transversal inclinations. In the area of the existing concrete safety fence which will remain at the same height, a drain gutter for water drainage was designed.
