We prepared project documentation for rehabilitating the carriageway on the A2 Šentvid-Koseze highway, outside the Šentvid tunnel (south side), and the first 150 meters of the Koseze-Brdo section. Most of the roadway was upgraded with an additional 12 cm of asphalt. In other areas, we applied a 4 cm resurfacing instead.
The green dividing lane was replaced with asphalted solution. The streetlights were relocated from dividing lane to the edge of the highway. The crossing in front of the tunnel was prepared for future reconstructions, and the emergency lane on section 0614 (direction Kranj) was widened to support a four-lane C2+2 closure.
We implemented civil engineering solutions to enhance safety and improve user experience. New guardrails, along with updated horizontal and vertical signage were supplemented according to the latest standards. In the dividing lane, steel guardrail was replaced with safer concrete barrier, and the existing steel guardrails at the edges were upgraded for better safety. Most of the new signage was mounted on gantry structures.
The side slopes were widened to meet safety standards. Side slopes and ditches were reprofiled to widen the slopes, and new drainage solutions, including open and drained ditches, were implemented throughout the highway.
