The Piškovca Bridge is located on the local road Breg – Piškovca – Bled. Previously the bridge stood on the site on four intermediate buttresses, so worn out it needed to be closed for traffic. Our task was to design a new bridge without intermediate buttresses, which bridges the Sava Dolinka River in a 57 m long field. The new bridge was built using the BIM model.
The load-bearing structure of the bridge is prestressed reinforced concrete. Due to the more attractive and statically efficient shape, we placed the parametric model of the structure between two curves with different radium (lower / upper). The lintel shape matches the border wreaths and protective fence. We used 3D models for concrete structures, all reinforcement, prestressing cables, anchors, and anchors. The drawings for the execution were classic with 2D models. We used additional 3D models for more intricate details.
