In 2016, we started designing a logistics distribution center for Lidl in Arja Vas in the municipality of Žalec. In 2022, we additionally expanded the already large existing facility with an extension.
The new building follows the floor plan of the existing one. The size of the extension is 185 x 108 m.
The existing storage building was partially renovated, the cold storage was extended and the existing canopy and recycling area were enlarged. The functional area of the main building gained an extra building to support the registration of drivers with a waiting area and toilets. The external parking spaces for lorries and cars were increased.
The spaces are divided into functional units, which are interconnected by circulation routes. These include high racking and storage areas, as well as areas for the reception and dispatch of goods. In addition, hazardous goods storage and refrigerated areas with temperature regimes of +4° and +14° were added.
The roof of the extension hosts a solar power plant.
