The new footbridge in Miren near Nova Gorica serves to cross the pressurized fecal municipal water and provides a new connection between the banks of the Vipava River for pedestrians and cyclists in the area of the unique cultural and administrative center of the Municipality of Miren-Kostanjevica. Structurally, the designed footbridge is a two-member arched steel space bar. It has an elliptical shape, in the transverse direction made of round hot-rolled tubes of various dimensions, articulated at the ends via four steel bearings to the reinforced concrete end supports. Longitudinally, in the vertical direction, the footbridge is slightly concavely convex in an arch with a radius of R≈140 m and a vertex in the middle of the span, which is approximately 41 m from bed to bed. The footbridge is 50 m long and 4.82 m wide.
