The wooden pedestrian footbridge is an ancillary facility that served as a temporary structure for the undisturbed organization during the 2010 World Kayak Championships in Tacen. The footbridge connects both banks of the kayak course and thus provides access to the artificial island between the trail and the existing Sava riverbed.
The footbridge bridges the kayak track in 16 + 4 m and a combined length of 22 m.
The main load-bearing structure is represented by glued beams 1.10 m high. The beams are sideways windproofed with a steel bar structure, which is also the load-bearing structure of the walking surface. The selected conceptual design allows multiple building uses with easy assembly and disassembly.
