Residents of Trebuša bury their loved ones in a sacred place, the Gorenja Trebuša cemetery, placed on a natural shelf surrounded by menacing walls piercing the sky. They have decided to build a new chapel of rest, foremost small, albeit big enough to make tea in it on cold winter days.
The mortuary is formed in visible concrete and acts as a rock fragment of the surrounding walls, which landed right in the corner of the cemetery, where the view of the Trebušan Church of St. Francis is at its best.
The Interior of the ‘farewell’ room is oriented with an upright window to the axis of the church bell tower covered in larch. The project is in the phase of obtaining a use permit.
