A steel construction enclosed by a glass façade closes a link between a central city promenade and the Tivoli Park while at the same time linking two existing buildings of the National Gallery, the neo-classical building from the end of the 19th century and its extension from the end of the 20th century. The place was designed specially to house the original baroque Robba’s fountain but can also serve as a separate room for public events of the museum such as openings and meetings. It is designed as a mono-volume place framed by three types of steel frames in a mutual film structure dedicated to provide for the constantly changing views, either from the inside or from the outside.
