The castle in Leskovec near Krško dates back to the 15th century. It is a four-bay, single-storey building with round towers at the corners and an inner courtyard with arcades.
Due to the poor condition of the building, urgent reconstruction and rehabilitation work was needed on the entire roofing and roof covering (including the roof duct and drainage), roof dormers, chimneys and attics, and the ceiling structure above the first floor. Protection of the façade openings against the ingress of rainwater was also carried out.
In parallel, urgent conservation and restoration works were done.
The entire reconstruction and restoration was supervised in line with the guidelines of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage.
