Business and residential building Šumi

The Šumi building was one of the long-awaited new constructions in the center of Ljubljana due to its location, along the main traffic artery, Slovenska cesta, and near the Slovenian National Drama Theater. Construction was very limited in space, making it challenging to eliminate discrepancies on the construction site and increasing the final construction costs. Therefore, in addition to project management, the client also requested BIM design monitoring.

We produced BIM architecture, construction, and landscaping models for this very diverse building with eleven floors. The models helped us monitor intermediate design changes and check the conformity of structural, architectural, and MEP BIM models.
Multiple coordination of updated BIM models thus eliminated most of the discrepancies that could pose potential problems due to the tight construction site’s rapid project execution and space constraints.
