Architecturally speaking, the complex is divided into four parallel strips of several residential buildings connected by a common buried basement in two storeys. Each strip is divided by dilatation to two buildings. All buildings have several storeys with two basements and seven above-ground storeys. The ground floor surface of the above-ground storeys of an individual building amounts to approx. 20 × 65 m. The total gross surface of all buildings is 96,000 m², of that flats represent 55,000 m², both basement storeys have a total of 41,000 m² parking spaces.
Between the buildings, operable intervention paths are foreseen on the slab above basement I, children’s playgrounds, walking and other surfaces which are partly paved or covered in grass. The buildings are conceived as reinforced-concrete wall constructions founded on connected strip reinforced-concrete footings and on a foundation plate. Earthquake stability of the building is provided for by vertical reinforced-concrete walls in both orthogonal directions of the building and by reinforced-concrete plates between the storeys, which are stiff in their plane. The wall construction has sufficient stiffness to resist differential displacements between the storeys, and the width of dilatations is adequate to avoid collisions between the buildings.
