Office building Rotonda

The building is located at the cross-roads of the northern by-pass road and Dunajska road. It is one of four architecturally remarkable business buildings at the northern arterial road. Its excellent location makes it one of the most attractive business buildings along the Ljubljana by-pass road. The building consists of three segments of various shapes. The most distinctive segment is the semi-circular six-storey segment which gives the building its name – Rotonda. The five storeys are dedicated to offices with related facility rooms and communication cores. Apart from the entrance hall, the ground floor has areas for customers, a congress hall complex, an in-house bar, and a small gallery that also serves as a function room. Three, partly four subterranean floors offer parking places and warehouses.
The building has a reinforced-concrete structure consisting of smooth inter-storey panels, a system of columns and walls and massive communication cores. The building is dilated twice: first, in the axis in the centre of the semi-circular part, and second, at the contact point between the building and the basement. The foundation was executed on a reinforced-concrete slab. The open staircase through several storeys in the central hall is made of steel and also carries the carrier elements of the glass roof.
