Between Pot na Rakovo Jelšo Street and the Ljubljanica River lies the Rakova Jelša II residential neighborhood, featuring 156 non-profit housing units equipped with associated utilities, transportation, and external amenities.
The neighborhood comprises five apartment buildings and a detached, ground-floor multi-purpose building that houses community facilities, two office spaces, and a new substation.
The apartment buildings are designed as elongated structures with flat green roofs, each having a ground floor and two upper stories. They are founded on driven piles with soil displacement, eliminating the need for excavation.
Ground-floor apartments are elevated above the common courtyard level to enhance privacy. The buildings are clad in bricks, a traditional material of the area, which creates a homely atmosphere and blends them into the surroundings.
The layout includes spacious green areas between the buildings, surrounded by paved courtyards ideal for play and socializing. A new square along the path to Rakovo Jelša provides a venue for various events and daily interactions. Access to the blocks is facilitated by two roads, lined with an avenue and a car park offering 183 parking spaces.
