Three garages were built on the site of the Edvard Peperk Barracks in Ljubljana for parking of 8×8 tactical trucks, light armoured wheeled vehicles, 6×6 and 4×4 tactical vehicles. Part of the project was also to lay the groundwork for the construction of identical type facilities in other locations.
The facilities have a reinforced concrete prefabricated skeleton construction with an approximate floor area of 4000 m2 each, which allows faster erection, greater flexibility and the use of space. For smooth manoeuvring of vehicles, the facilities are set back more than 22 m and the surfaces are constructed as concrete platforms.
Our work included document review for building permit design and detail design documentation, supervision of all civil and structural works and coordination of occupational health and safety.
