Tobačna tovarna – public utilities, Ljubljana

In the Vič quarter of Ljubljana, the Tobačna city is under construction: a crossroads of business, administration, residence, services, culture, and education. Integral programmes, quality infrastructure, and variegated offer considerably contribute to the business, public and private lives of the residents of Ljubljana and its visitors.

Before the erection started, the area of some 10 hectares had to get new infrastructure, the existing situation had to be adapted. The project documentation included a site plan and a topographic map of public utilities, which included district heating network, gas pipeline network, telecommunication network, water supply network, electrical cable pipes and shafts, and sewerage network. The project made it possible to have all those facilities which were not intended for demolition uninterruptedly connected to public utilities also during erection.
