His ideas were later developed by Austrian governer Krištof Latterman, after whom the underpass is named.
The design was dictated by construction technology and the decision to build the entire underpass on the construction site of Ilirija Sports City with box-jacking technology under the active rail traffic. This solution helped us achieve minimal impacts on railway traffic.
The underpass is connected to the swimming pool Ilirija with retaining walls. We designed the exits to Tivoli Park with a staircase, ramps for cyclists and wheelchairs, and a path for people with disabilities.
Due to the box-jacking, we designed the underpass as a reinforced concrete box. Because of the railway restrictions, the abutments and the rail track form the angel 60°. This restriction and the course of the avenue form a large floor plan of the underpass, with dimensions of 15 m x 19,5 m.
Latterman’s underpass is the widest facility of its kind in Slovenia, built with box-jacking technology.

[96
post-63272","portfolio","type-portfolio","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","portfolio_category-civil-engineering
["GET
