The contracting authority 2TDK defined the use of a BIM approach in the tender conditions for the detailed design for execution. For an extensive project, the investor has set high BIM goals and requirements, based on which the Elea iC-led design team has developed an advanced BIM Execution Plan (BEP).

3D BIM models of excavation, tunnel support system, portal buildings, supporting geotechnical structures, transformer stations, and water reservoirs were made for eight tunnels (3 twin-tube, five single-tube). Due to the track’s transition from limestone with karst caves to flysch soils with tectonic zones, extensive and detailed 3D models of geology and geotechnics have been created. During the execution of the project, progress can be monitored by the investor and supervision with prepared 3D BIM models and templates. At the same time, the contractor can use the BIM models to facilitate better communication and organization of the construction work.

Key project information
– total length of the railway track is 27,1 km
– total length of tunnels is 20,5 km
– total length of the open track is 5,5 km

Project specifics
Many models, long alignment, and five different design firms required a high level of knowledge of BIM modeling, coordination between models, and further workflow development with our programming scripts. More than 600 different BIM submodels had the necessary attributes appended. Thus the information was refined to the degree that enabled the creation of 4D and 5D BIM analyzes (scheduling and cost planning).

[113
post-61990","portfolio","type-portfolio","status-publish","hentry","portfolio_category-bim-en
["GET
