The \u0160umi building is in the center of Ljubljana, surrounded by a dense population. This 11-story building includes four basements, a ground floor, and six floors. It has multiple purposes such as an underground garage, stores, a hotel, and residential flats, all reflected in its design.<\/p>\n
Given Ljubljana\u2019s moderate seismic risk, the building is supported by seven strong reinforced concrete cores. Reinforced concrete columns, spaced about 8 meters apart, carry the building\u2019s vertical load.<\/p>\n
The building features two internal courtyards: one in the hotel area and another, with greenery, in the residential section. Luxury flats are separated by non-load-bearing concrete walls for better sound insulation.<\/p>\n
