As one of the biggest retailers in Slovenia LIDL wanted to use advanced BIM technologies for their new logistics center in Arja vas near Celje. The goal was to have better consistency of plans, coordination between different fields, and financial analysis of the project due to BIM usage. This project also represented an excellent opportunity to analyze the success of using BIM information for their future projects.<\/p>\n
Therefore, we provided an integrated solution that began with investor’s education and consulting for goal setting and Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR). Prior to the start of the design phase, the BIM Implementation Plan (BEP) was prepared for all involved, which enabled project traceability, successful coordination of all designers, and the reliable usage of the Common Data Environment (CDE). We created BIM models for deep foundation, architecture, structure, communal infrastructure, and external road systems at the level of development LOD 350. All design models were coordinated several times to determine wall penetrations and disperse discrepancies. The models contained additional attributes, which were used for time (4D) and cost (5D) scheduling.<\/p>\n
During the construction process, we provide support to the contractors and supervision with our BIM models.
