The old buildings on Kroja\u0161ka ulica street Nos. 6 and 8 in the old city centre of Ljubljana were built constructions with wooden ceilings between the storeys and a wooden roof truss. A new hotel is a result of modification, reconstruction and partly new erection of buildings.<\/p>\n
The building on Kroja\u0161ka ulica 6 was demolished, only the fa\u00e7ade wall along Kroja\u0161ka ulica was preserved. A new reinforced-concrete construction was erected with the following storeys: basement + ground floor + 3 + attic. The attic storey and the fa\u00e7ade along Kju\u010davni\u010darska ulica are prefabricated steel constructions. The building on Kroja\u0161ka ulica 8 was demolished up to the slab above the second floor. Above the ceiling and the ground floor there is a new monolith reinforced-concrete slab anchored into the old walls. Above the first floor there is a composite Hi-Bond slab arranged over old wooden joists, while above the second and third floors there is a prefabricated steel construction designed as a series of steel frames, over which a composite reinforced-concrete Hi-Bond slab is arranged. All old walls which were not demolished were injected and additionally reinforced by gunite finish over the entire height of the building. All the existing walls of the building on Kroja\u0161ka ulica 6 and partly on Kroja\u0161ka ulica 8 were pre-concreted up to the bottom level of a new basement.
