Peter Jemec finished his studies in civil engineering in 2006 at the University of Ljubljana. He started his career as a railroad designer and later designed and coordinated the construction of a mobile telephone network. He started working for Elea iC as a student, where he focused his career on geotechnical engineering, with an emphasis on the design of tunnels and associated concrete and steel structures. He is the leading expert and project manager of several projects including Tunnels Šentvid, Markovec, Vodole, the second track of Divača-Koper, and others.

He completed the study of civil engineering at the Faculty of Civil engineering in 2000. His professional career began as a structural engineer in building construction company Gradis, design bureau in particular in the field of concrete and steel structures, bridges and other infrastructure facilities at home and abroad.
In 2002 he joined the team Elea iC, where he worked as lead designer in civil works and in 2004 received the award for best steel construction in Slovenia, and the award of the European Convention for steel structures – ECCS. A year later he took over the development and management of tunnels department, which was upgraded in the coming years with a team of geologists, he himself specialized in the field of safety in tunnels.
He is a partner in the company Elea iC and managing director, and head of the group of tunnels and soil mechanics. He is responsible for a number of demanding projects at home and abroad.
He has received numerous awards for his achievements and is a member of several professional institutions (IZS, ITA, SloGeD, OEGG ….) and regularly attends professional conferences, where he teaches the construction and design of tunnels and other underground structures and tunnel safety.
