As part of the TOPP research project, artificial intelligence technologies for route alignment have been developed. The aim of the project was to develop a methodology for transparent interdisciplinary planning of optimal underground connections for smart cities using AI technologies. The algorithms take into account the topological, morphological, geomechanical and hydrogeological characteristics of the terrain on the one hand, and vulnerable surface areas (settlements, cultural heritage, nature conservation areas) on the other. The analysis results in quantitatively evaluated multi-criteria solutions for the tunnel alignments.
The project was completed in 2021 and is available as an engineering consultancy service.
